[Sephiroth's tone is quiet but urgent.]

Who is still here? Genesis? Rinoa? Boriane? ...Cloud?

[His tone changes, still quiet but dangerous and angry.]

I will not be taken again - not for any reason. This 'Tagruato Corporation' will be made to realise their mistake. I will not go quietly and I will make them suffer.

[There is a sound in the background, metallic and quiet. The sound of blades being sharpened. Sephiroth's next words sound as if they are quoted.]

'If you die, everyone behind you dies.'

I'll not let that happen. I will not go down without a fight.

[His tone takes on a darker edge and it seems as though he is almost looking forward to what is going to happen.]

Come and get me. I'm waiting.

...

[There is a long moment of silence before Sephiroth speaks and when he does, he sounds drained and emotionless.]

...Citizens of Manhattan. It is with deep regret that I must inform you of the death of Vincent Valentine.

He sustained several heavy injuries during a battle against a group of crabs and died shortly afterward. He was a brave man and one worthy of respect.

Boriane, I would give Valentine a funeral worthy of him. Would you be able to help me arrange it?

Rinoa, I believe I promised to inform you of when I found a more permanent home, did I not? As of a few days ago, I am now residing at the Bryant Park Hotel. It seems the easiest option.

I've not seen you since the...unfortunate incident with Valentine. Are you well?

The thought of being trapped here was a lot less uncomfortable before I found out that this city might simply be it's own dimension.  And thanks to the increasing number of giant monsters as well as these new and improved crabs, I am not sure I even want to stay. For the first time since arriving here, I think I want to go home. And yet... No, never mind. I will simply have to accept whatever happens in the future, whether I leave here alive or not.

I haven't sensed Loz or Yazoo lately. It seems my...'family' shrinks by the day. First Vincent and Zack disappear and then my mother...now Loz and Yazoo as well. I think the only one left who could be 'family' is Cloud. A...reluctantly and forcibly adopted little brother. He is the only other person with Jenova cells, after all.

I've not seen Akira of late either. If she's hiding in the cupboard again...

This museum is too quiet. If Valentine had not left me in charge, I would venture out into the streets and see what I can find to keep myself occupied.

Somehow, I am not surprised. It seemed too easy.

I would like very much to how it happened though and why nothing happened when we went to view the body. And what happened to yesterday.

Perhaps her 'death' was merely some kind of stasis until the poison filtered from her body? There is more to our beloved host than meets the eye, that much is certain.

So it worked after all. I had my doubts but the proof is there for all to see. It feels anticlimactic. I expected more of her.

Congratulations to those who brought her down however. The effort is not unappreciated.

I would hope this plan to eradicate the monster goes better than last time. I would very much not like to witness another rampage.

I..do not know how serious you were about being your bodyguard. Do you need shelter in case the monster does rampage?
